What the Live Scoreboard Showed
The scoreboard checked just before this post listed the first period as Manitoba 1, Toronto 0, and the game status as paused between periods. No goal scorer was named on the live scoreboard checked, and no shot totals or goaltender numbers were listed there, so this update sticks to what the scoreboard confirmed: the score, the period, and the pause.
What to Watch in the Second Period
The second period decides whether the Moose build on the lead or the Marlies use their championship experience to pull level. Toronto came into the night as the defending Calder Cup champions, and a one goal game at Canada Life Centre leaves everything open for the final 40 minutes.
The teams meet again at Canada Life Centre on Saturday, November 7, for the second game of the weekend set.
