Searchers will be combing the Comox Valley through the weekend in hopes of finding a 40-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen since Tuesday.

Comox Valley RCMP issued a request on Thursday for help to find Ashley Bosma. Police have confirmed that she was last seen camping near Comox Lake in Cumberland on Oct. 14.

“It’s possible she may have entered the surrounding trails, been picked up, or walked to another unknown location,” Const. Monika Terragni said in a news release.

The family told police they are concerned because it is unusual for Bosma to be out of contact.

Investigators have been “diligently following” up on every tip and piece of information gathered to date, police said Friday.

Comox Valley ground search-and-rescue, RCMP air services, police dog services, and numerous front-line officers are all involved in the search, she said.

“Their efforts will continue through the weekend and beyond — everyone will keep looking until Ashley is found,” Terragni said.

Bosma is five-foot-four and about 115 pounds with blue eyes. She was last seen wearing pink leggings and a grey sweater. Her hair is dyed brownish purple and blond.

Comox Valley RCMP ask anyone who knows the whereabouts of Bosma to contact them at 250-338-1321 and refer to file No. 2025-15816.
