Tamera returns with a raw, confessional single that sees her team up with Canadian powerhouse Jessie Reyez for the emotionally charged track “Sinner, Pt. 2.” The song, released as a stand‑alone single, showcases Tamera’s gritty storytelling alongside Reyez’s unmistakable vocal grit.
“Sinner, Pt. 2” delves into the tangled dynamics of love and betrayal, exploring how the people we cherish can both lift us up and leave us broken. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of repeated patterns, painful honesty, and the struggle to rise above personal demons.
Ooh
Yeah, yeah
Yeah
Gave you the best pieces of me, told you hold that forever
I ain’t tryna reason with you now ’cause you should know better
I know this a pattern and now it is what it is
You did everything I told you not to, then did it again and again
Now I can’t hold it in or pretend
You ain’t been actin’ like a foe, not a friend to me
You actin’ like a friend to me, ooh
It’s the ones you love that’s gonna leave you hurt
Make you fly, then leave you in the dirt
It’s the ones you love that’s gonna make you cry a river, cry
Cry a river
Cryin’ a river turn into hard liquor
Oh God, oh God
Deliver
Please deliver
Sinner I’ve been makin’ through
You really tried it (You tried), you got way too used to lyin’
You been tryna paint a picture like
You ain’t the fuckin’ villain, baby
Rewritin’ history ain’t gon’ erase your sins (At all)
New bitch don’t know the truth, but I know what it is (Baby)
I won’t let someone’s son turn me to
Someone I don’t like (I don’t like)
I’ma take this fuckery you did and make the song fly (Fly)
I’ma take this fuckery you did and make some dollar signs (Yeah)
Just watch me out come eyes, been doin’ it all my life
Fuck I look like tryna convince someone to take a million?
Ain’t really my business if you cool with bein’ a idiot
You fumblin’, but it is what it is
You just been actin’ like a foe, not a friend, ooh
It’s the ones you love that’s gonna make you hurt
Make you fly, then leave you in the dirt
It’s the ones you love that’s gonna make you cry a river, cry
Cry a river
Cryin’ a river turn into hard liquor
Oh God, oh God
Deliver (Deliver)
Please deliver (Please deliver)
Sinner I’ve been makin’ through
Yo, yo, yo
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yo
Fuck I look like tryna convince you to take a million?
